remi jayne : 18 months old

our little lady is 18 months old.

at 18 months remi 

weighs: 22 pounds 15 ounces (54%)

height: 32 1/2 inches (60%)

and she's got a big noggin haha i don't remember how many CM, but it's in the 90% 

  she loves:

-her binky collection

-her silky pink blankets

-sparkle shoes

-peppa pig

-reading books

-watching me put on makeup and copying me

-all the food

-playing outside

-jumping on the tramp

-her daddy (she asks at least 5 times a day "dadda at?")

-playing with brooks

-tackling people

-playing peek-a-boo

-taking baths or showers

-swimming and playing at the park

she's not a fan of:

-teething (hence the hand in her mouth always, those fangs are a beast)

-being told no

-feeling hungry

-when brooks closes his bedroom door

-when she can't go outside

-getting woken up

remi is the silliest, goofiest little thing.  she loves to make us laugh and she will repeat whatever she is doing over and over again if we think it's funny.  she is also the biggest sponge you will ever meet.  she repeats what we say on the daily.  the other day i was doing my own thing while she was playing and i said "what the heck?!"  and next thing i know remi says, "wat da heck?" and repeats it daily.  it is both hilarious and terrifying to know that she copies what we say hahaha.

she is such a cuddle bug.  she loves to grab books and sit up on our laps and read forever.  she will bring me a book and we will read, and then she will bring the same book to matt and have him read it to her.  she also likes to bring us her special blankies and a pillow when she's tired and ready to go lay down.

she has entered into the tantrum stage which is not so lovely because there is no reasoning with her at all.  basically if she is upset, she will cry and scream and yell at you for 20 minutes, until she is ready for a hug and a cuddle.  there is basically nothing you can do during that time to make it better.  she is a stubborn little lady and does things on her own time... it's really fun, especially in the middle of stores :)

remi is the bravest little lady there is.  she will try anything and everything she sees other kids doing and especially loves to copy brooks.  she has no fear when it comes to climbing, jumping, going down the big slides at the park, etc.  she is our little adventurer.

she is the perfect amount of sweet and sassy, and we couldn't love her more.

remi jayne: eight months old.

i don't know why it's so dang hard for me to keep up with these monthly updates.  i completely skipped her seventh month... hashtag fail.  i'm feeling okay though considering she still is in her eighth month for another week.

weight: 16ish pounds

three words can describe remi at eight months: mobile, clingy, and destructor.

taking pictures of her was quite the task.  she wanted to be all up in my grill and touch the camera.  she is a feisty one.

 at eight months, remi loves:

-food

-water

-drinking out of straws

-her mommy

-swimming, tubs, splashing

-following brooks around

-pulling everything off the coffee table

-standing as much as possible

-her binky

-when people clap for her

-putting every last crumb of anything she can find in her mouth

remi hates:

-teething

-if she's not being held

-anyone who isn't her momma

-being left in a room alone

-when the food is gone

 this little lady, she is all over the place.  she has been mobile since about seven months but this month she has really taken off.  she crawls all over the place and pulls herself up on anything she can.  her favorite thing to do is make a mess of the coffee table or book shelves.  she is very curious and takes thirty seconds or so to look at all of the things before she chucks them to the floor.

she gets so proud whenever she pulls herself up or walks along furniture.  she immediately looks to someone for acknowledgment and then bounces up and down in excitement.  she loves to be clapped for and praised.

she has sprouted two little teethies and one coming in hot on the top.  this girl does NOT take teething well.  she is the most whiney, cranky baby when teething, so that makes life really fun.  this stage is kind of hard with my remi girl.  i frequently find myself saying, "it's a good thing you are so cute."  she is extremely and i mean EXTREMELY attached to me.  i can't be out of her sight or else she screams, i can't set her down for more than one minute. she won't let other people hold her without crying... basically she ends up crying a lot because i can't hold her 100% of the day.

now that she is a lot more mobile it is improving a bit and i can keep her entertained by allowing her to make all the messes, but i'm not gonna lie... there are times i want to give her away. haha

remi righht now... always on the go.

even though she has been hard lately she is a pretty happy baby if everything is just her way.  she smiles at everyone and gets excited to see people she recognizes.  she laughs really easy and thinks brooks is the funniest thing ever.  there relationship is so cute to watch.

 remi is in size three diapers and wears clothes ranging from 3-12 months,  she is still a little dainty thing with relatively no hair (thank goodness for hair bows and headbands).  she has gotten in a nasty habit of taking 3 or 4 catnaps during the day, but sleeps like a champ at night (11-12 hours).  

we love this little lady so much.. she is such a bright spot in our life.

and now, i must go for she is chewing up a styrofoam cup and eating rice crispies off the floor. #humanvacuumcleaner

remi jayne: six months old

i can't believe this little lady is already a half of a year old.

weight: 14 pounds 7 ounces (19%)

height: 27 inches (40%)

now that we've started on solid foods and suplementing with formula, remi girl is chunking right up.  she has the best beef on her thighs and she is quite ticklish.  it makes for a good combo.

at six months, remi loves:

-putting her binky in by herself.

-playing with brooks

-boys

-real human food

-teething crackers

-her momma

-drinking out of her brothers sippy

-going on walks

-scooting around the floor

-swimming/taking baths

-chewing on everything

remi hates:

-teething

-when her momma is out of sight

-going in her carseat

-when something gets taken away that she is chewing

-50/50 with getting her diaper changed

she is a pretty happy baby most of the time.  she loves attention from anyone who will give it to her.  she is all smiles all the time if she's looking at you, but if you try and hold her and she sees her momma she will most likely fuss.  she is going through a major stage 5 clinger phase.  if i'm not in the room or in sight then she usually does pretty good.

at six months, she sits up like a pro.  she likes to sit on the ground in brooks' room and play with toys.  brooks is so cute and always hands her things,  if she has a toy that he wants then brooks will get another toy and trade her, she doesn't seem to mind...yet.

she has started scooting around backwards.  she can make her way across the room but she can't yet really control where she goes.  she pushes up lifting her chest off the ground quite often and tries to get up on her knees.  brooks never crawled so if remi starts to do so, that will be a new experience for us.

little lady loo has been teething this month and her two bottom little teethies are FINALLY breaking through.  she has been a bit fussy this past week and has a runny nose from teething but nothing too bad.  i'm gonna miss her gummy little grandma grin.

we went on a quick trip to st. george this month and remi had her first outdoor swimming experience, which she loved.  stick her in a floaty, give her something to chew on, and she's found her happy place. this makes my sun loving self quite happy.

we have just moved her up to size 3 diapers because now that she eats real human food she has some intense poo blowouts.  she is still wearing clothes 0-6 months, but i have put a few of her 0-3 month close away {tear}.  she takes about three naps a day and sleeps about 11-12 hours at night.  we still haven't moved her into brooks' room yet... i keep saying "tonight is the night" and then it doesn't happen.  one day... one day.

{spring pictures}

over the weekend i took my kiddos to alyssa to get some spring pictures done.

she did our family pictures in the fall and we loved them so when she started offering indoor sessions i knew i couldn't pass them up.

remi girl is six months old and brooksy boy is twenty-two months old.

they were both stone cold during the pictures which is so funny because they are both happy, smiley kiddos... especially remi.  luckily we managed a good smile or two from each baby.

their relationship has been so fun to watch develop.  for some reason whenever brooks interacts with remi he sticks his tongue out... as you will see in many of the pictures.  remi adores brooks and brooks LOVES to hold, tackle, sit on, and try to pick remi up.  she's usually a pretty good sport.

rooster roo was a little nervous and stressed about the lights.  she is definitely in her stranger danger/mommy phase.  she's all smiles as long as she's in my arms but as soon as i set her down or pass her off she gets stressed.  i love that when she does smile, she smiles with her whole face.  her ears perk up, her eye brows furrow, and her eyes twinkle.  she is definitely a bright light in our little family.

brooks is a total boy... only smiled when we brought out the football.  he is at such a fun age and i just love him so much.  he's the perfect amount of stubborn and sweet and he gives the best cuddles.  i can't believe he will be two in just a few months.
