memorial day weekend.

over memorial day we were fortunate enough to join some friends up at lava hot springs, and soda springs, ID for some camping adventures.

first of all, it is absolutely beautiful up there in the mountains.  i loved the drive up and the drive down because everywhere you looked was pure goodness.

blue skies for days.

the first night we spent down in lava at the actual hot pots.  it was a torrential down pour so we didn't bust out the camera, but we still had a good time soaking in the hot pots while the rain poured down.

sunday we spent the day at our camping spot in soda springs.  there was lots of riding, shooting, eating, and hanging out.  

apparently for me, it is necessary to throw up the peace sign while riding. haha

on memorial day, we packed up and headed back down to the water park in lava.  matt was in heaven because they had four diving boards and three platforms to jump from.  brooks and i were content to play in the water and watch :)

after swimming we ventured home.

it was a great weekend, spent with great people.

and we are so thankful to those who have lost their lives to keep our country free.
