how we wore it || darker fall tones

i'm back again for another round of "how we wore it" hosted by brooke,
did you know you can participate too?! head over the brooke's blog and sign up for next month.

this months inspiration outfit picture came from StyleLovely

all the heart eyes!
i, like the rest of the world, am obsessed with all things buffalo plaid/gingham in any color, shape, and/or form.
there are so many ways to wear it, you just can't go wrong,

again, i decided to go with a skirt this time.  i've had this skirt for many months and only worn it once and when i saw the inspiration outfit, i immediately thought of my skirt and decided to go a little more dressed up with the look.

i had a hard time deciding which buffalo plaid shirt i wanted to wear (because you know, i have several colors) but decided to stick with the black and white theme.  i threw in a little pop of color with the shoes but stuck to the darker fall tones theme.  the dark maroon/burgundy/wine color is my absolute favorite for the fall so these shoes were perfect.

i kept my accessories super simple with a simple strand necklace, black tights, and a dark berry lip.  can i just say how much i love fall make-up?!  that deserves it's own post though

my cute little brooks wanted to help me hold out my skirt, so he jumped in a few pictures too!

well folks, there you have it.

I love the way you paired all this up. What a fun look! And I love how you contrasted with a light skirt. Sets you apart in the group!

You HAVE to tell me where you got that skirt. It is amazing. This is my favorite outfit of the group! I'm a skirt girl myself so I love seeing when people dress it up!

Very cute outfit! I like that you mixed a fall/winter top with a more summery bottom. I don't really dress for seasons and I always love seeing how people mix different things like this!
