how we wore it || holiday

i'm back again for another round of how we wore it hosted by brooke.

i love all things holiday and the color of this dress just seemed to be perfect.

this months outfit inspiration came from Because Shanna Said So

i love the way she paired different patterns and textures.  i would've never thought to put buffalo with leopard but i love the way it looks.

i have been told that this is the classic amy face i give and here it is captured perfectly on camera. haha

for this look, i wanted to wear this perfect cranberry colored dress because it screams holiday to me.  i decided to go a little more dressed up (plus i just came from church, so ya know) and i paired the dress with a faux fur vest to add some texture and dimension, gold polka dot tights for a little bit of pattern, and then my favorite black booties with fringe detail.

i brought this scarf because we were going to play in the snow with the kids after we snapped some pictures, not really intending on using it for this purpose but i actually really loved how the cranberry and mustard colors paired.

the great thing about this dress is that it can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories and what you pair it with.  it is definitely going to be a go to for me over this holiday season.
