seven hundred and thirty three days.

seven hundred and thirty three days ago i said goodbye to my best friend.

we spent the day shopping for last minute odds and ends.

had some lunch at gandy's

went our separate ways to shower and get ready, and then meet up again for a farewell dinner with our families.

after he got off that phone call, we kissed one last time, gave our last hug for two years, and tearfully said our goodbyes.

i watched as he walked out the door of my house for the last time.

i looked out the window and he hadn't left yet.

he was sitting in his car, waiting.

suddenly i received a text, and this is what it said, 

"I can't stop crying Amy.  Leaving you is the hardest thing I've ever done!  I love you so much babe, you're the greatest thing that's ever happened to me!  You're such a sweet girl and you've truly stolen my heart!  I can't wait to see you tomorrow before I leave.  Thank you so much for all the love you've shown me and for rescuing me from the darkest pits of despair.  I love you so much Amy and I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you!  This isn't goodbye...it's a see ya later!  You'll always be in my heart and on my mind baby.  I'm forever yours.  I love you with all my heart Amy Lynn!  I'll never stop loving you!  I'll see you soon cuteness!"

then he sent just one more...

"Baby I gotta send you one more text before I'm not allowed to haha I love you more than I could ever put into words!  You're truly my best friend and I can't wait to see you again!  I love you with all my heart! Be mine Amy Lynn :)"

aren't i just the luckiest?

24 hours people.

i will be reunited with my best friend, my love, my boy.

my heart is happy.

my stomach is butterflies.

my head is spinning.

it's going to be a long day tomorrow.

but oh so worth the wait.
