coy maverick: one month old

tomorrow my little coy mav will be six weeks old.

you guys, i'm so obsessed with him.. SO OBSESSED.  i just want to bottle him up and keep him little forever.  why do they grow so fast?!

he is the sweetest little thing and perfect addition to our family.  he is extremely chill, until he's not. hahaha when he wants something he will definitely let you know and has quite the shriek little shrill cry.  brooks and remi absolutely adore him.  every morning they come in and ask if coy is awake and then they take turns talking, cuddling, and holding him in my bed.  they are so helpful and willing to get me diapers, wipes, binky, etc.

for the first month, mr. coy wasn't gaining weight.  when he was born he was 9 pounds 3 ounces  at one week he was 8 pounds 6 ounces, and when we went to his two week check up he had gone down two ounces to 8 pounds 4 ounces.  we started taking him in for weekly weigh ins and i mostly pumped and bottle fed him so i could keep track of how much he was drinking.

3 weeks - 8 pounds 6 ounces

4 weeks - 8 pounds 6 ounces

5 weeks - 8 pounds 15 ounces

he is slowly but surely gaining weight, and he might actually be up to his birth weight now because he seems to be getting chubbier.  my doctor said that he might just be a tall, skinny dude.  we will keep taking him in every two weeks, but he is happy and healthy.

-started smiling right before 4 weeks

i think he's going to have blue eyes and darker hair than my other two.  i sure love my three blue eyed babes.  coy maverick, we sure love you!!nn
