jobs, pet peeves, bucket list

playing catch up today with my march blog challenge.

day seven:
what's your dream job?

ultimately, i plan on staying home and raising my children.  i feel like being a mother is one of the greatest jobs one could have.  from a young age, i have always loved babies, children, and kids and i am so very excited for my own.

if i end up having to work while raising my children, then i would choose to be a teacher.
after all, that is what my degree is in.
like i said, a love for children, a love for learning... combine them both and a teacher is the perfect job for me!

something i have always wanted to do just for fun, except like most things in the world it costs an arm and a leg, is go to hair school and aesthetics school.  more like a hobby i wish to learn rather than a dream job, but still.  it would be right up my alley.

day eight:
biggest pet peeve

-i absolutely hate when i am using the bathroom and the shower curtain is closed.
-people who don't use their blinker when turning or don't use the turning lane and stop in the middle of the road.
-when texting someone and they text right back, but you call them and they don't pick up.
-watching people pick their nose.
-when people rub their hands, feet, etc. on carpet.

to name a few.

day nine:
what is on your life list/bucket list?

i actually have never officially made one.
sad day.
some things i would like to do however include the following:

*visit all 50 states

*read 1,000 books

*adopt a baby

*travel with my husband

*watch friends for 24 hours straight while eating all of my favorite things

*watch a movie on the top level of a parking garage in the summer

*take at least one girls trip a year with my friends

one day, i hope to create a real, legit bucket list :)

politics: according to a 2nd grader.

seeing as how the debate was tonight, i thought this post would be fitting.
for you see, i am currently teaching in a second grade classroom where there is never a dull moment.
i truly could write several post just about the funny things kids say each day.
however,
in honor of the upcoming election i thought i would share with you politics according to a second grader...

Student 1: Why isn't Obama on any coins or dollars?
Student 2: Because he's a bad president.  I don't like his face anyway.

Student 2: Who would you vote for if you were old enough to vote?
Me: I am old enough, who would you vote for?
Student 2: I would vote for Romney because he is a Mormon.  Obama had 14 wives and Romney only had one, and Obama made more debt.

there you have it folks.
hahahaha
i think it's safe to say we all know who his parents are voting for.

the things i have learned.

this week began my student teaching experience in the 2nd grade.
it's only been two days and i have learned quite a bit.

-drinking three water bottles before noon does not bode well for the ol' bladder.
teachers pretty much only get to pee once a day during lunch. no bueno.

-second graders will hold you to anything you say, especially if treats are involved.

-if you give the whole class a bathroom/water break, without a doubt at least one kid will ask to go to the bathroom ten minutes later.

-second graders think you are cool if you sit on the ground with them, and not in the "teacher chair."

-even second graders think jacob from twilight is attractive.
one little girl wrote a story today called,
"My hot boyfriend, Taylor Lautner."

-second grade boys have stinky feet.

-unfortunately in second grade, girls can be catty.

-i will probably be called "teacher" until my last name changes.
apparently vanchiere is just too hard to remember.

-second graders say some pretty great things.
"teacher, you got it goin on!  those boots look nice on you." - little boy

"i wish the school day wasn't over, i'm not ready to quit learning." - little girl

"i want to be just like my mom when i grow up, do you know what she does?.... She goes to bars and sings karaoke." - little girl

second graders are pretty dang precious.
all 30 of them.

love,
amyLynn
